Always been fascinated by Detroit, though I've never been and it's interesting to see a once-great city fall apart piece by piece. Maybe that has nothing to do and everything to do with The Detroit Cobras. They're classic garage rockabilly with bits of soul and R&B. They are that old Craftsman wrench that your dad has in there and claims it's good for life. The Cobras somehow manage to keep Detroit's music history in the forefront of their mind and push it forward. They are a cutting-edge tribute band with excellent concert posters. Best of all, they're dipping down south w/ the Dexter Rombwer Duo. Vid for "Cha Cha Twist" below.
